What is Rhinoplasty?

In the open method, a small incision and suture are made on columella part of the nose, this trace gets gradually indistinct. According to the necessity, open and closed surgery options can be determined by the doctor and patient together. Also, the semi-open method where cartilages can be seen without incision or suture is used by many surgeons.

In cases where nasal wings-nostrils need to be narrowed, it is only possible to remove a part from the nose wing by an external incision and suture. Nasal wing narrowing can only be achieved with these methods in all closed and open methods. However, the remaining small scar can be hidden in the hollow part where nasal wing and cheek get combined and this scar gradually becomes indistinct.
