Dark Circles Under Eyes and Light Filling
Light filling, which has been very popular and widely used in recent years, is especially applied to tear troughs and dark circles on the lower eyelid. In addition, it can be applied to the whole face, neck and décolleté area and to the back of the hands.
The light filling contains hyaluronic acid which is a skin's building blocks; 8 amino acids, 3 antioxidants, minerals and vitamins, which are skin reconstruction complexes, and local anaesthetic (lidocaine). Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in our body and increases the hydration of our skin by keeping water in deep layers. Light filling products are completely natural and obtained from a bacterium in the human body. In other words, it is fully compatible with the human body. As in any injection, a mild to moderate bruising and swelling of the light filler may rarely occur. These side effects disappear within 3-5 days.
Hyaluronic acid existing in the skin begins to decrease with aging. Therefore, the skin dries, weakens and wrinkles occur. In this case, the use of light filler reduces the opacity of the skin, shines in a healthy way, and reflects light better. The persistence of the light filling varies from region to region and is around 12 months on the eyelid.
In order to remove the lower eyelid pits, light filling is a very preferred method. Light fillings are most often given to areas called tear grooves, with special injectors and microcannulae. Since this is done with EMLA, pain is unlikely to be felt. However, it can be treated with ice and creams like Arnica in the early period according to the sensitivity of the person, although there may be mild to moderate swelling and bruising.
In some cases, the Exoderm application to the lower eyelid is also combined. Exoderm procedure is done at once, and does not exceed 10 minutes when made both sides (After being anesthetized with EMLA cream), the procedure provides a reduction in wrinkles, tightening and even colour lightening in the lower eyelids without surgery. It is worth noting that the healing period lasts for 5-6 days, although some pinkness may last for a few weeks (sometimes a little longer) but may be concealed by foundation.
