Hair Mesotherapy
General Information About Mesotherapy and Hair Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a technique of classical medicine since it is the coetaneous or subcutaneous injection of drugs.
The medication which is classically taken orally or injected from the hip means it is given from a region away from the treatment. In mesotherapy, the treatment area is brought closer together to the diseased area.
Hair mesotherapy is also a treatment that can be applied to the scalp for certain purposes between certain periods. In the correct indication of hair mesotherapy in both men and women; hair mesotherapy functions as it both slows hair loss and strengthening of the existing hair fibres.
Medications Used and their Properties
First, the scalp is anesthetized with EMLA or a similar cream. The selected drug mixes are then delivered to the skin by special needles with special techniques, locally with small doses. The dermis or hypodermis becomes the reservoir region through which the active substance is released slowly through the microcirculation towards to the areas it should reach. Therefore, this is a regional-local treatment method.
Medications Used and their Properties
With special cocktails, especially vitamin supplements can be reinforced to the scalp and the blood circulation to this area is improved. Increasing the blood supply to the hair follicles helps to improve their nutrition and development.
Mesotherapy for hair development uses various nutrients (such as biotin, hyaluronic acid and silica), vasodilators and androgen blockers. It is observed that the hair develops again after weeks of the first application. After about six months, the areas that shed are revived and replaced with normal hair. Applications should be maintained at regular intervals.
Advantages of Hair Mesotherapy
The superiority of this method over other conventional drug therapies is the regional use of drugs in small doses. The risk of side effects is insignificant and the results are effective.
In other words, since the diseased area and the drug application area are closer to each other (and therefore given in much less doses), the side effects of the drugs are almost negligible; the medication directly goes to the diseased area and its desired effect increases.
Mechanisms of Action and the Purpose of Treatment
Cocktails made with these substances regulate keratin production by stimulating the development and renewal of hair by acting on the level of dermal papilla.
The vasodilator (vein enlarger) substances in the cocktail provide a functional microcirculation and increase blood supply to the hair follicles. In this way, the hair will revive and thicken and shine. They control the mediators released from the nerve endings.
They also try to prevent immune hair loss by affecting the immune unit.
Vitamins and elements in the cocktail block hair loss; they regulate fat secretion and reduce dandruff, and contribute to their antioxidant properties.
As a result; this medication is used regionally in small doses. The risk of side effects is low enough that it can be overlooked and the treatment is much more effective.
