PRP Treatment

PRP Treatment

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) - means the platelet-enriched plasma application. In this treatment, a small amount of blood from the person's himself is placed in a special tube and centrifuged and platelet rich plasma is produced (PRP). The obtained plasma is returned to the same person by injection from the face or scalp. The procedure lasts about 30 minutes and does not cause much discomfort when done using an anaesthetic cream.

In brief, PRP revives and structures the hair in the most natural form.

How does PRP Operate?

Platelets, or thrombocytes, are blood components that contain ”Growth Factors" in their structure. Growth factors are necessary to repair damaged tissues in our body and return them to their natural state. Normally, when any damage occurs in our tissues, our blood collects platelets to this tissue and initiates a repair process. The purpose of PRP administration is to deliver a greater number of platelets to the target tissue than can be transported by the bloodstream, thus repairing the damaged tissue so quickly and strongly, and results faster because the density of platelets obtained with PRP is 2 to 4 times greater than the one obtained from the bloodstream.

There is a similarity between skin aging and injury. In both cases, some physical properties are lost. In practices aimed at rejuvenating the skin, in a variety of ways we actually mimic the way our body does heals a wound. For example, in procedures such as laser, peeling, we treat the skin with light, give a controlled light damage and use this damage as a trigger force to rapidly improve the skin. After this damage, growth factors are released and the healing process begins.

Why is PRP Applied to the Scalp?

It is used alone to reduce hair loss or to strengthen the effect of other treatment methods (hair transplantation, hair mesotherapy).

How Safe is the PRP Application?

In the PRP application, one's own blood is used. As it is done under sterile conditions, there is no risk of infection.

How is the PRP Implementation Process?

A cure consisting of 3 or 4 applications to be performed every 15 days is repeated every year on average. In this way, a long-lasting refreshment effect which may be counted as permanent will be achieved on hair.

Is PRP Applicable to Everyone? Does PRP Have Side Effects?

No side effects from the PRP application are expected. This application is not performed to patients with an inadequate platelet amount and cancer patients.
